Pepe Romero
Pepe Romero (born March 8, 1944 in Málaga ) is a Spanish guitarist .
He is the son of the singer and actress Angelita Romero and the guitarist and composer Celedonio Romero ; his brothers Celin and Angel are also guitarists.
The family emigrated to the USA in 1957 , where they achieved great fame as the Los Romeros guitar quartet .
Pepe Romero held a master class in Bremen in March 1988, his first in Germany .
Joaquín Rodrigo and Federico Moreno Torroba wrote pieces of music especially for Pepe Romero. In 2000, Juan Carlos made the Romero brothers Celin and Pepe Knights of the Order of Isabel la Catolica .
Pepe Romero, who was also a lecturer at the University of California at San Diego , was awarded the Premio Andalucia de Música , the highest honor his home region has to bestow in the field of the arts.
