Percy Courtman
Percy Courtman (born May 14, 1888 in Chorlton-cum-Hardy , Lancashire , † June 2, 1917 in Neuville-Bourjonval , Pas-de-Calais ) was a British swimmer .
Courtman was a two-time Olympian in the breaststroke. At the Olympic Games in 1908 in his native London, he was eliminated in the first-time competition over 200 meters chest as second in the preliminary run.
Four years later at the Summer Games in Stockholm he was fourth in the 200-meter chest and two days later he won the bronze medal in the 400-meter chest.
He fell in France during World War I.
