The mild microclimate, caused by the proximity of the Lago Buenos Aires , has a positive influence on the economic life of the place. In addition to traditional cattle farming, fruits and vegetables thrive here.

The picturesque appearance of the place together with the nearby attractions ensures a continuous boom in tourism. Of particular interest are the Andes mountain range , the wildlife of Parque Laguna and the Cueva de las Manos with its cave paintings.

Seniors are increasingly choosing the place as a retirement home.
