Perivale (London Underground)

Perivale is an overground station of the London Underground in the London Borough of Ealing . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 4 on Horsenden Lane South. In 2013, 2.24 million passengers used the station served by the Central Line .

On May 2, 1904, the Great Western Railway (GWR) opened Perivale Halt on the New North Main Line (NNML), which had been built the year before. As part of the New Works Program of the London Passenger Transport Board , decided in 1935, an additional double lane was laid along the NNML after the end of the Second World War to enable the underground service between North Acton and West Ruislip . The Central Line ran the route from June 30, 1947 and the GWR closed the breakpoint.

The station building was built according to plans by the Australian GWR chief architect Brian Lewis. It consists of a narrow rectangular building clad with red bricks. Its front facade is concave and has a series of upper aisles . The building has been a listed building ( Grade II ) since 2011 .
