Perlat Musta (born October 15, 1958 in Vlorë ) is a former Albanian national football player .

career

Musta's career began in 1978. As a 20-year-old Musta was included in the Partizani Tirana first team and was initially reserve goalkeeper, but quickly established himself as number one and became a fixture in his club. Shortly thereafter, Musta was appointed to the Albanian national football team, in which he was to be the goalkeeper for many years. Musta played against the Federal Republic of Germany in qualifying for the 1982 World Cup and the 1984 European Football Championship . The results were quite different, in 1981 Albania lost 8-0 in Dortmund; it is the biggest Albanian defeat against Germany to date. Musta was substituted in that game when the score was 0: 5. In 1983, Albania was able to achieve respectable results in both the first and second leg. The second leg in Germany was particularly memorable, as Albania only had ten men to bring the favorites to the brink of disgrace for one half and ultimately lost just 1: 2. Musta performed very well at the time and was able to destroy many good scoring opportunities.

He stayed in the Partizani Tirana squad until 1991. Musta then moved to Romania to Dinamo Bucharest , where he stayed until 1994 and became Romanian champion in 1992 . Musta then gave a brief stint at Național Bucharest before returning to Albania. There he played for Partizani Tirana for a year and a half before ending his active career.

As a player on this team, Musta, like all the other club members, was part of the Albanian army . Musta completed a total of 23 full international matches.
