ancestry
Permit was descended from the stallion Epilog, who was born in 1934 at the Lasbek stud . His mother was the mare Maienpracht.
Racing career
The stallion Permit started in 124 races . 58 he won, 63 times Permit was placed. He won 458,620 DM for the first time. The stallion won in 1948. In 1950, Permit was one of the best German trotters with 17 wins in 21 starts. In 1952 he won the Elitloppet in the European record time of 1: 17.3. A year later, in 1953, Permit was the first German horse to win the Prix d'Amérique . In addition to Germany , the stallion competed in Italy , France , Sweden , Denmark and Austria . He contested his last race in 1954.
Breeding career
In 1951 Permit was presented as a stallion for the first time . Five of his offspring won the German Trotting Derby : Errol (1960), Gutenberg (1962), Hadu (1963), Lord Pit (1967) and Manzanares (1968).
