Pervertum was an Austrian black metal band from Vienna .
Band history
Pervertum was founded by Cromm ( vocals ), Necros ( guitar ), Yog Sototh (guitar), Aisthasis ( bass ) and drummer Trifixion of the Horned King (ex- Summoning ). In 1994 the demo Creature of Ungod was released . Pervertum was part of the Austrian Black Metal Syndicate (ABMS) around bands like Golden Dawn , Werwolf , Trifixion and, at first, Pazuzu . Accordingly, the band was represented with two songs on the ABMS sampler A.BMS - Norici Obscura Pars (1995). The scene was closely linked to Michael Piesch's independent label Lethal Records , which also signed Pervertum. The only album Creature of Ungod was released there in 1995 .
Music genre
Pervertum played fast black metal, which was strongly influenced by the second wave from Norway. The music was largely based on repetitions, but also on frequent rhythm changes. In addition to Black Metal, Death Metal was also an influencing factor. Musically perverted could hardly set new accents and strongly reminded of genre bands like Emperor or Mayhem , but without reaching their quality.
