Peter Birtwistle
William Gerald Peter Birtwistle (born February 22, 1914 in Clayton-le-Dale , Lancashire , † January 12, 2006 in Chorley Hospital in Lancashire) was an English badminton player and official.
Career
Peter Birtwistle won the Middlesex Championships and Kent Championships in 1949 and the Northern Championships, Nottinghamshire Championships and Surrey Championships in 1950. At the French Open in 1953 he was second in doubles and mixed. From 1991 to 1996 he was President of Badminton England.
