Rolf Höfert (born February 8, 1949 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player . The midfielder and libero won the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga North with FC St. Pauli in the 1976/77 season . In the 1977/78 season he completed 23 games (3 goals) in the Bundesliga with the newcomer .

Career

Höfert played in the youth of USC Paloma and came in 1969 from Wellingsbüttel to HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst . Höfert made his debut in the then second -rate regional soccer league under coach Edgar "Edu" Preuss on the first day of the 1969/70 season, on August 17, 1969, in a 3-2 away win against VfL Osnabrück. The debutant played on half-left at the side of veterans Willi Giesemann and Harry Behre .
