Career
Rolf-Peter Rosenfeld, also known by the nicknames Buttje and Butsch, began playing football at SC Falke Hamburg. Via USC Paloma he went to FC St. Pauli with whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga . The Hamburger Abendblatt classified him in October 1976 as "one of the greatest talents of the past few years" at FC St. Pauli. In the 1976/77 season Rosenfeld was with his teammates, such as Jürgen Rynio , Niels Tune Hansen , Manfred Mannebach and Franz Gerber , under the direction of coach Diethelm Ferner master in the northern season, four points ahead of Arminia Bielefeld . At the same time it passed in the spring of 1977 at the Lohmühlen-Gymnasium in Hamburg-St. Georg his high school . According to the Hamburger Abendblatt , a photograph of the prominent student was hanging in the teachers' room of the high school at that time. Thus, St. Pauli started, with Rosenfeld, in the 1977/78 season in the Bundesliga and was 13 points behind a non-relegation place bottom of the table and was relegated. Rosenfeld played with the Hamburgers, for whom he played a total of 101 league games, for another year in the 2nd Bundesliga. For the following season, FC St. Pauli did not receive a license and Rosenfeld went to league rivals VfL Osnabrück . He stayed there until 1981. In the two seasons in the 2nd Bundesliga, he played 79 games for VfL and scored six goals. He then played one season at Hummelsbütteler SV and then returned to VfL Osnabrück for one season.
During his time in the Lower Saxony city, he wrote for the VfL stadium newspaper and made contacts with the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung . He became a reporter after his sports disability at the age of 25. Today Rosenfeld reports on FC St. Pauli as a journalist for the daily newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost .
