Peter Brand (cameraman)
Peter Brand (born August 1, 1937 in Gera ) is a former German cameraman .
Peter Brand studied from 1955 at the German Academy for Film Art in Potsdam - Babelsberg specializing in camera. From 1960 until the reunification he worked for the DEFA studio for feature films in Potsdam-Babelsberg, then also for West German productions. In his career he made around 60 productions, including the multiple award-winning film adaptation of Märkische Forschungen . Brand often worked with the directors Erwin Stranka and Egon Günther . In the 1960s he was appointed as a visiting professor at the Academy of Film Art.
Peter Brand lives today as a pensioner in Potsdam-Babelsberg.
