2004 Women's World Squash Championship

The 20th Women's Squash World Cup took place December 7-11, 2004 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . The total prize pool was $ 72,500.

The defending champion was Carol Owens , who ended her career in early 2004. In the final Vanessa Atkinson defeated her opponent Natalie Grinham with 9: 1, 9: 1 and 9: 5 and thus won the world title for the first time. It was also the first ever world championship title for the Netherlands in squash.

The field of participants consisted of 32 players, including seven starting places for qualifiers. A wildcard was not awarded.
