World Women's Squash Championship 1987

The fifth Squash World Cup Women ( English 1987 Women's World Open Squash Championship ) was held in October 1987 in Auckland , New Zealand instead. Immediately afterwards, the World Team Championship took place at the same location . The total prize pool was $ 30,000.

Defending champion Susan Devoy won the new edition of the final of the last edition in 1985 against Lisa Opie with 9: 3, 10: 8 and 9: 2. She was the first player to become world champion for the second time.
