1998 Women's World Squash Championship

The 14th Women Squash World Cup ( English 1998 Women's World Open Squash Championship ) took place in November 1998 in Stuttgart instead. Immediately afterwards, the World Team Championship took place at the same location . This was the last time that the individual and team championships were held in a combined event. The total prize pool was $ 70,000.

In the final there was a new edition of the final from the previous year between Sarah Fitz-Gerald and Michelle Martin . Again Fitz-Gerald prevailed in one game over the entire distance against Martin with 10: 8, 9: 7, 2: 9, 3: 9 and 10: 9. This was Fitz-Gerald's third title win at a World Cup. She caught up with Michelle Martin. Like Martin, Fitz-Gerald had won their titles within three years.
