1996 World Women's Squash Championship

The 12th Women Squash World Cup ( English 1996 Women's World Open Squash Championship ) was held from 9 to 13 October 1996 in Petaling Jaya , Malaysia instead. Immediately afterwards, the World Team Championship took place at the same location .

The defending champion was Michelle Martin , who lost in the quarterfinals to Liz Irving in four sets. The final contested the vice world champion Sarah Fitz-Gerald and Cassie Jackman , who had already been in the final in 1994 . Fitz-Gerald won the game 9-0, 9-3 and 9-4
