The second Squash World Cup Women ( English 1981 Women's World Open Squash Championship ) was held in October 1981 in Toronto , Canada , instead. Immediately afterwards, the World Team Championship took place at the same location . The total prize pool was $ 12,500.

The defending champion Heather McKay did not run again because she had ended her career in the meantime. The final was played by Rhonda Thorne and Vicki Hoffman , who had already met in the quarter-finals of the previous World Cup. While Vicki Hoffman prevailed 3-0 in 1979, this year Rhonda Thorne just got the upper hand with 8:10, 9: 4, 9: 5, 7: 9 and 9: 7.
