The 31st Women's Squash World Cup took place from April 23-30, 2016 in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia . It was the most highly endowed tournament on the WSA World Tour 2015/16 with a total prize money of 185,000 US dollars.

The tournament was originally supposed to take place from December 14th to 18th, 2015. However, the organizer canceled the event shortly before it started due to financial problems. The organizer was now the agency of the former Malaysian squash player Mohd Azlan Iskandar .

Last year's winner was Nicol David , who defeated Raneem El Weleily in five sets last year . David lost in the quarterfinals to Nour El Sherbini , who won the tournament as the youngest player to date and thus became world champion. In a new edition of the final from 2013 she defeated Laura Massaro , who she was still inferior in 2013, with 6:11, 4:11, 11: 3, 11: 5 and 11: 8.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of whom were qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Low Wee Wern a spot in the main draw.
