2001 World Women's Squash Championship

The 17th Women's Squash World Cup took place from October 14-19, 2001 in Melbourne , Australia . The prize money was $ 61,000.

Sarah Fitz-Gerald won her fourth world title after clearly defeating top seeded Leilani Joyce in the final with 9: 0, 9: 3 and 9: 2.

The field of participants consisted of 32 players, eight of which were starting places for qualifiers. A wildcard was not awarded.
