Sharon Wee (born October 5, 1977 in Malacca ) is a former Malaysian squash player .

Career

Sharon Wee was active on the WSA World Tour from 2006 to 2010 and won eight titles in a total of 23 finals. She reached her highest ranking in the world rankings with position 18 in December 2006. With the Malaysian national team , she took part in world championships in 2000 , 2002 , 2004 , 2006 , 2008 and 2010 . In 2006, 2008 and 2010 she took third place with the team.

Between 1998 and 2004 Sharon Wee was six times in the main draw of the individual world championships. However, she never got past the first round. She was Asian champions six times with the team . In 2004 she was runner-up in Asia behind Nicol David . At the Asian Games in 2002 and 2006 , she won bronze medals in singles. In 2010 she won gold with the Malaysian team. For Malaysia she competed at the World Games in 1997 and 2009 . In 1997 she failed in the preliminary round, in 2009 in the first round. In 1998 , 2002 and 2006 she was part of the Malaysian squad at the Commonwealth Games and competed in singles, and in 2006 in doubles.
