Sue Wright (born June 28, 1970 ) is a former English squash player .

Career

Sue Wright's best ranking in the world was third in January 1998. She won eleven titles on the WISPA Tour . At the British Open she was twice in the final. In 1991 she was defeated by Lisa Opie in four, in 2000 by Leilani Joyce in three. She became British Champion in 1992, 1997, 1998 and 2001.

In the 1997 season she was runner-up in doubles with Cassie Jackman . Sue Wright won several medals at the Commonwealth Games . She won her first medal in doubles in 1998 when she won gold with Cassie Jackman. In the individual she received the bronze medal after a third place. With the English national team , she won six titles at European Championships .

She retired in 2001 at the age of 30 due to chronic fatigue syndrome .
