Peter Deppisch

Peter Andrew Deppisch (born November 6,  1970 in Attleboro , Massachusetts ) is a retired American / German basketball player . The two-meter-long winger was on the field as a professional for TuS Herten and in England.

career

Deppisch, who was born to a German father in the US state of Massachusetts , grew up there with his twin brother Paul  . After studying at Salem State University, Deppisch moved to the German second division TuS Herten in 1994, where he was his brother's teammate. Peter left the club after the 1994/95 season and played in the second division for TV Langen in the 1996/96 season .

In 1996 he moved to England, where he played for the Manchester Giants for a year . 1999/2000 he was part of the team of the London Leopards , with whom he also came to appearances in the European Cup, in 2000/01 he was first under contract with the Leicester Riders , then with the Ealing Tornadoes, which then went up in the team London United. There Deppisch played in the second highest English league until 2006.

After his playing career, he remained loyal to basketball as a coach, was responsible for the team at Brunel University in England until 2017 and was the organizer of camps. He then served on the board of directors of the Thames Valley Cavaliers Basketball Club.
