Peter Ehmke
Peter Ehmke (born July 22, 1953 ) is a former German soccer player .
Peter Ehmke has played in German professional football for nine years with interruptions, always in West Germany, although it never kept him at a club for long. After all, he has over 100 appearances in the 1st Bundesliga during this time .
At the age of nineteen, FC Schalke 04 brought the striker into the Bundesliga team from their own youth department in 1972. After he couldn't establish himself there within two years, he moved to 1. FC Köln . However, coach Zlatko Čajkovski only used him eight times. At the end of the 1974/75 season he left Cologne again and joined Rot-Weiss Essen , for whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga for two years . In 1979 Bayer 05 Uerdingen brought Ehmke, who had meanwhile been retrained as a midfielder, back to the Bundesliga .
