Peter Florjančič

Peter Florjančič (born March 5, 1919 in Bled ) is a Slovenian inventor .

Florjančič is one of the most famous Slovenian inventors, he has applied for around 400 patents, 41 of which have been realized. His most important inventions include plastic frames for slides , the plastic zipper or the atomizer on perfume bottles. In 1957 he also invented an automobile airbag without improving it or registering it.

Florjančič was born into a hotelier family in Bled. He lived in Monaco, Switzerland, Austria and Germany and was also a member of the Slovenian ski jumping team when Josef Bradl made the world's first jump over 100 meters in Planica in 1936.

Florjančič is almost completely blind, but continues his inventive activity with the help of a PC and other help.
