Abdoul Aziz Ndao

Abdoul Aziz Ndao (Ndaw) (born May 31, 1922 in Mékhé , Senegal , † February 12, 2011 in Dakar , Senegal) was a Senegalese politician of the Parti Socialiste (PS) .

biography

Ndao was first elected in 1973 as a candidate of the PS to the National Assembly and represented the city of Tivaouane until 1993 . In 1988 he succeeded Daouda Sow as President of the National Assembly and held this office for five years until he was replaced by Cheikh Abdoul Khadre Cissokho in 1993.

Within the PS he was also a member of the Politburo during the opposition and was responsible for party life as national secretary. Until his death, Ndao was a member of the PS's advisory body, the Comité des sages .
