Nico Rogner (* 1978 ) is a German actor .

biography

From 2003 to 2006 Nico Rogner studied acting at the Teatro Blu in Rome with Beatrice Bracco. During this time he appeared in several Italian theater productions, including Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (2004) at the Festival di Capalbio . He has appeared on the Roman stage in Bracco's production of David Rabe's Hurlyburly (2006) or Laura Bispuri's L'Altra Metà (A Casa con Claude) (2007). Since September 2010 he has been working permanently with Eric Vigner at the CDDB théâtre de Lorient , Center Dramatique National de Bretagne .

Parallel to his work in the theater, Rogner appeared in Laura Bispuri's short film Lontano in 2004 . This was followed by other roles in Italian film and television. In 2007, Rogner starred in Louis Nero's La Rabbia . In addition to Franco Nero , Faye Dunaway and Tinto Brass , he took on the role of an ambitious director who robbed a bank in order to be able to finish his film. This achievement earned him a young actor award in 2007 at the presentation of the Italian student film award Golden Graal .

Already dubbed a “rising star in the French-German theater” by the Italian press agency ANSA in 2006, from 2008 he increasingly turned to work in French film and theater. In Martin Provost's award-winning biopic Séraphine (2008), he played the role of Helmut Kolle . In 2009 he appeared with Tommy Milliots Agatha on the Parisian theater stage. He made his debut in German-language cinema in 2011 with Jan Krüger's Auf der Suche . In the drama he plays the leading role of a young homosexual who tries to solve the disappearance of his ex-lover in Marseille together with his mother (played by Corinna Harfouch ). The film premiered in the forum of the 61st Berlin International Film Festival.

Nico Rogner lives in Paris. In addition to German and French, he also speaks Italian and English.
