Peter Francis
Peter Francis (born December 22, 1936 ) is a former Kenyan middle -distance runner who specialized in the 800-meter distance .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Perth in 1962 , he was fourth over 880 yards and fifth with the Kenyan 4-by-440-yard relay. He failed over a mile in advance.
In 1964, he was eliminated from the first round of the Tokyo Olympics .
He won 800m bronze at the 1965 African Games and finished seventh over 880 yards at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 .
He set his personal best over 880 yards of 1: 48.9 min (corresponds to 1: 48.2 min over 800 m) on October 17, 1962 in Nairobi .
