Peter Haber (athlete)

Peter Haber (born on August 6, 1967 ) is a former German athlete.

Life

Peter Haber comes from Sigmaringendorf and is cerebral paretic . As a track and field athlete, he took part in the 1992 Paralympic Summer Games with the German national team for disabled people . He was used both in the running competitions and in the long jump. In the 100 m run he won the gold medal, while he won the silver medal in the long jump with a distance of 5.42 m.

He also took part in the World Athletics Championships for the disabled in 1994 , where he won the gold medal in the T 36 in the 100 m run and the silver medal in the 200 m run.

Peter Haber was also at the Paralympic Summer Games in Sydney in 2000 . He was used in the 100 m run, in the 200 m run and in the 4 × 100 m relay race.

For winning a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games in 1992, he was awarded the silver laurel leaf by Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker .
