Peter Heller (Author)
Peter Heller (born February 13, 1959 in New York City ) is an American journalist and writer.
Life
Peter Heller grew up in New York and studied at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire . As a journalist, he worked for National Public Radio (NPR), Outside Magazine , Men's Journal and National Geographic Adventure . In book form he published, among other things, a report on the activities of the radical marine conservation organization Sea Shepherd Conservation Society , which was also published in German. In 2007 he was involved in the production of the film The Bay , which documented the slaughter of dolphins in the Japanese coastal town of Taiji . Heller has emerged as a novelist since 2012. His novels The Dog Stars and The River were published in German translation in 2013 and 2019. Heller lives in Denver , Colorado .
