Peter Hermann Wolff

Peter Hermann Wolff (born October 25, 1954 in Bruchsal ) is a German diplomat . He has been Ambassador to Brunei since August 2017 .

Life

After studying philosophy, history and administrative sciences, Peter Hermann Wolff joined the Foreign Service in 1986. He completed his training for the higher foreign service in 1988 and initially went to the embassy in Pakistan, but was transferred to the embassy in Senegal in the same year. From 1990 to 1993 he worked in the Foreign Office in Bonn, then spent 3 years at the Permanent Mission to the UN in New York and then (1996/97) at the embassy in Iran and from 1997 to 2001 at the embassy in Helsinki.

From 2001 to 2005 Wolff was Deputy Head of Division in the Foreign Office, then from 2005 to 2008 Permanent Representative at the Embassy in Ecuador and from 2008 to 2011 at the Embassy in Japan.

After another assignment in the Foreign Office in Berlin, Wolff was sent to the Embassy in Paraguay as permanent representative in 2014.

In 2017 Wolff was appointed ambassador in Bandar Seri Begawan ( Brunei ) and received on August 10, 2017 by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah to present his credentials.

Peter Hermann Wolff is married and has two children.
