Peter Holl

Peter Holl (born September 18, 1860 in Augsburg , † February 22, 1925 in Passau ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

After attending elementary school in Augsburg, Holl, who was a Roman Catholic , completed an apprenticeship as an iron turner from 1873 to 1876 . After working in the trade and military service with the 3rd Bavarian Infantry Regiment (1881 to 1883), Holl founded a cutlery shop in Passau in 1888, which he ran until his death. In 1907 he also became chairman of the Passau local cartel of the free trade unions.

Political party

Holl founded the SPD's Passau local association in 1889 and became its first chairman.

MP

In 1919/20, Holl was a member of the Weimar National Assembly . From 1919 until his death he was a member of the Passau city council.
