Peter Hoppe (entrepreneur)

Peter Hoppe (born January 13, 1968 in Lünen ) is a German entrepreneur, managing director and partner in the Hoppe group of companies based in Berlin and Menden (Sauerland). In February 2017 he was named "Financial Advisor of the Year" for the second time in a row by the business magazines € uro , € uro am Sonntag and Börse Online. For the first time in the history of the competition, a participant was able to defend this title. In June 2018 he was awarded the Science Prize 2018 of the Financial Planning Standards Board Germany eV (FPSB Germany) for his scientific work on the subject of "Measuring service quality in financial portfolio management from the perspective of private customers".

In 2007, Hoppe founded the Mendener Foundation for Monument and Culture in order to set “an example for the preservation of historical buildings”. For example, under the chairmanship of Hoppe, the foundation restored one of the oldest houses in Menden, the parasite house on the city wall (2010) and the Poenigeturm, one of the focal points of the city's medieval fortifications (2014).

Together with Keuper, who holds the Chair of Business Administration at the Steinbeis University in Berlin , Hoppe published the textbook "Strategic Asset Management " in 2016. He is the editor of the "Successful Investing" guide.

Hoppe volunteers for the Momella Förderverein eV, which has run four schools in the rural region in the north-west of the city of Arusha in Tanzania since 2000 , is a member of the Rotary Club Menden / Sauerland and treasurer of the Förderverein Kinder und Jugend Platte Heide.
