Peter Howitt (film director)
Peter Howitt (born May 5, 1957 in Manchester , England ) is a British actor , film director and screenwriter .
Life
Howitt made his director's debut in 1998 with the film She Loves Him - She Doesn't Love Him , for which he also wrote the screenplay. Since then he has realized several film and television projects. He also appears as an actor in his own films. In 2009 he also played the lead role of journalist Trevor Williams in the internationally produced science fiction series Defying Gravity .
Howitt has been married since 2001 and has a son from a previous relationship.

- In 1998 Howitt was awarded the European Film Prize for his film She Loves Him - She Loves Him .
- In 1999 he won an Empire Award for the same film.
