Shortly afterwards he became responsible for the areas of foreign affairs and news at taz. In the foreign editorial office, his focus was on Eastern Europe, so that during this time he dealt with Poland and Solidarność . In the newsroom he was responsible for the latest foreign pages. In 1984 he appeared for a short time as ViSdP in the taz imprint.

In 1985 Huth staged the children's play Hart im haben at GRIPS-Theater Berlin. In 1986 he wrote the radio play Auf Durchreise for RIAS Berlin.

As the managing director of My Channel, Huth was particularly criticized for insufficiently informing customers about the breakdown and instead filed criminal charges against several hundred Internet users who had downloaded the data. The investigation into Huth's advertisements was closed because the data on the website was not sufficiently secured. My Channel was liquidated in March 2010.
