Peter Käppler

Peter Käppler (born September 9, 1961 , resident in Schaffhausen ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

biography

Käppler completed an apprenticeship as a conductor at the SBB . He then did various further training courses as a specialist SBB teacher and later as an SBB works secretary. He is married and has two grown children.

In 1980 Käppler joined the SP . From 1999 to 2004 he chaired the SP of the city of Schaffhausen. He was elected to the city ​​council in 2004 and confirmed in office in 2008. However, in 2012 he was voted out of office. Although he achieved the absolute majority, he had 25 votes less than the candidate of the FDP , Raphaël Rohner , who has been in the city government since 2013. He has also been a member of the cantonal parliament since 2005 .

He is also a member of various organizations such as the VPOD or the WWF .
