Peter Kaehlitz (born October 6, 1959 ) is a former German soccer player. The striker was the top scorer in the GDR league three times in the 1980s .

Athletic career

Peter Kaehlitz began his career with the second division club SG Dynamo Fürstenwalde . After Kaehlitz was top scorer in the 1981/82 and 1984/85 seasons, the Dynamo sports association delegated him to the BFC Dynamo . Kaehlitz was never able to prevail in the team of the GDR record champions against the established offensive players Andreas Thom and Rainer Ernst , whereupon he returned to Fürstenwalde with only nine appearances despite the championship he had won.

After Kaehlitz in Fürstenwalde was again top scorer of the GDR league in the 1988/89 season, he moved again to the GDR league for Stahl Brandenburg . With two missions, he missed the breakthrough again. In 1990 he moved to the amateurs of Hertha BSC , where he was also one of the top scorers in the Berlin Football League in 1990/91 . Kaehlitz was appointed to the Hertha professional squad in 1991 when he lost 3-1 to VfL Osnabrück , and in addition to his first goal, he was sent off the field at the same time.

Between 1993 and 1995 he ended his career at Hertha Zehlendorf .
