Peter Kirmße

Peter Kirmße (* 1936 in Sonneberg ; † September 23, 2012 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Kirmße first attended the eight-grade elementary school and then completed vocational training as an electrical installer and studied at a technical college in Ilmenau and Velten , where he then became an engineer for electrical engineering. He studied low-voltage technology in the field of automation technology at the Technical University of Dresden and became a graduate engineer. This was followed by additional pedagogical studies and a doctorate, also at the TU Dresden. Kirmße was head of the automation systems department at the engineering school for electrical engineering in Velten.

After working in the citizens' movement, Kirmße joined the SPD in January 1990. There he was a member of the education working group of the party executive. In the state elections in Brandenburg in 1990 , he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Oranienburg III - Nauen II and thus entered the state parliament . He represented the cities of Bötzow , Falkensee , Hennigsdorf and Schönwalde near Berlin . From July 1, 1991 he was head of the development staff of the Oranienburg Police Headquarters of the Brandenburg Police , whose President he also became from November 1, 1991. Thereupon he resigned prematurely from the state parliament on December 19, 1991, his successor was Siegfried von Rabenau . After the police headquarters was dissolved in June 2002, he became president of the Brandenburg Police College in Basdorf and Oranienburg. After he gave up this office on March 1, 2004 due to age, he became an honorary election officer for the state of Brandenburg.
