Peter Klammt

Peter Klammt (born October 22, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player. 1977/78 he was in the squad of the GDR Oberliga team of BSG Wismut Gera . He played a game in the top division of GDR football .

Athletic career

Peter Klammt's first stop in organized football was the Wismut Gera company sports association , where he joined the children's team at the age of ten. At the age of 17, BSG Wismut took him over to the men's division in 1975, where he first played with the second team in the third-class district league. In his first men's season he was district champion with Wismut II. At the same time, he was used in seven games of the first team in the second-rate GDR league . In the 1976/77 season, Wismut Gera made it to the GDR league, where Klammt was involved with ten inserts in 22 point games and four goals. In the eight promotion round games he was used twice. In the 1977/78 season Klammt played mainly in the junior league and completed only one game in the league with the first team. On the first day of play he was used as a left winger for 55 minutes. Since the BSG Wismut was relegated from the league again after a season, Klammt then played again in the GDR league until 1986. Between 1980 and 1981 he was drafted into the National People's Army for 18 months . In the season 1982/83 Gera qualified again for the league promotion round. Klammt had contributed to this with his use in all 22 point games and with five goals. In the subsequent eight promotion games, he was used in seven matches, but with fourth place out of five teams, the Geraer missed promotion. Klammt defended the regular place in the Wismutelf conquered this season until 1985. He played his last season at Wismut Gera in 1985/86 with 16 appearances in 34 matches played. He then played a season with the third-rate district division progress Weida and in 1987 helped him move up to the GDR league. As a recreational athlete, he joined BSG Electronics Gera for the 1987/88 season , which he also helped to promote from the fourth-class district class to the district league. In 1989 he finally ended his footballing career.
