Peter Krasser

Peter Krasser (born May 7, 1952 in Rettenbach ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and founder and director of the humanitarian project "School Ethiopia".

Life

Peter Krasser graduated from elementary school in Hollenegg, secondary school in Schwanberg , then the music-pedagogical secondary school in Deutschlandsberg and then the pedagogical academy in Graz-Eggenberg . He has been married since 1976 and has a daughter, Peter Krasser and his wife Edith Krasser live in the market town of Wies .

As a teacher

Peter Krasser taught 1973-1988 as secondary school teachers , the subjects mathematics , geography / economics , biology / environmental science at the secondary school Wiesbaden from 1988 to 2003, he headed the elementary school Wies. He is the co-author of 8 textbooks Du und die Welt for geography / economics and was head of the district working group and a member of the state working group geography / economics. In addition, he headed the Wies adult education center and was also the long-standing union and staff representative chairman and chairman of the teachers' association in the Deutschlandsberg district.

In local politics

Peter Krasser was a local councilor from 1985-2000 and 2005-2010 and vice-mayor of the market town of Wies from 1987-1990 and 2000-2007 . From 1983-2001 he was chairman of the ÖAAB Wies.

On January 1st, 2003 the non-profit association “School Ethiopia” was founded; Through intensive fundraising activities in the form of lectures, mailings, various events, art auctions, etc., it became possible to find the financial means to build the following schools in Ethiopia to date:

Honors

Peter Krasser received the badge of honor from the market town of Wies in 2001 , was appointed high school councilor in 2004 and commercial councilor in 2014 . On December 9, 2019, he received the human rights award from the city of Graz for his work in Ethiopia .
