Peter Krause (born January 16, 1943 in Klein-Varchow ; † December 7, 2019 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( Democratic Awakening , CDU ).

biography

education and profession

Peter Krause attended primary school in Penzlin and then completed an apprenticeship as an engine fitter. The journeyman's examination took place in 1961 at the Rostock diesel engine plant (DMR). In 1967/1968 he graduated from the adult education center in Rostock and attended the marine engineering college in Warnemünde / Wustrow in 1968/70 and 1972/73 . In 1973 he became a marine engineer. In 1975/77 he attended the Humboldt University in Berlin, law section, and became an engineer for neuroscience.

From 1961 to 1974 he went to sea for the German shipping company Rostock and worked there as a ship engineer from 1970 to 1974. From 1974 to 1988 he was an engineer for new jobs in the Housing Association Berlin (WBK) and inland shipping company headquarters in Berlin. In 1988 and 1989 he worked as a group leader science / technology at Ipro Halle in Berlin.

In 1990 he was the full-time managing director of the Berlin Regional Association of Democratic Awakening. From 1990 to 2007 he worked as a sub-department head in the Ministry for Economic Cooperation , Berlin branch.

Peter Krause was married and had three children.

politics

During the transition in 1990 he became a member of the Democratic Awakening (DA). In August 1990 he became a member of the CDU. For the CDU from 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the House of Representatives (MdA List of Members of the House of Representatives of Berlin (12th electoral period) ) via the Friedrichshain district list and a member of the main committee there. In addition, he was a member of the interest group of the German Navy, member of the Marine Reservists Association.
