Peter Kruck

Peter Kruck (* 1965 in Marl ) is a German media scientist , journalist and freelance lecturer . He was often on TV as a quiz candidate .

Life

Kruck is a trained banker . After completing his studies in journalism / communication science at the Ruhr University in Bochum, he founded the communications research institute BIFAK in 1998 , as its managing director he published numerous publications.

Kruck has been a lecturer at the Ruhr University in Bochum since 2002 . In his research, he focused on the close-up / distant image hypothesis introduced by Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann , on which he wrote the 2006 dissertation “The close-up / distant image phenomenon as reflected in an exploratory survey. Theoretical Media Effects and Sociodemographic Implications ”, a topic from the field of empirical social research , received his doctorate . Kruck works as a freelance journalist and science lecturer and lives in Bottrop- Kirchhellen .

In October 2009 he was a candidate in the TV quiz show “Das Duell im Erste”, where he won 20,000 euros against Barbara Schöneberger . On January 7th and 10th, 2011 he was a candidate in the TV quiz show “ Who Wants to be a Millionaire? “, In which he won 125,000 euros. In October 2011 he made it to the finals of the program “ Der Klügste Deutsche 2011 ”. In August 2012 he and Dunja Hayali took part in the new edition of the ZDF classic “Die Pyramid”; the two earned 11,500 euros. In May 2014 he was defeated by the Cologne fitness trainer Ivan Buljan (37) in the jump-off on the show “ Der Quiz-Champion ”.
