Peter Krzikalla (born May 29, 1941 ) is a former German soccer player. For BSG Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt , he played in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football , in 1969/70 .

Athletic career

Until 1959 Peter Krzikalla played in the company sports club (BSG) Empor Beeskow . At the beginning of the 1960 season (calendar year season) he moved to BSG Stahl Stalinstadt, which was represented in the third class II. GDR league . The BSG made it into the first GDR league that season, in which 39 league games had to be played in the following season from February 1961 to June 1962 due to the changeover of the game operations to the summer-spring rhythm. By October 1961, Krzikalla played 27 games in the GDR league, scoring ten goals with which he was the top scorer of the steelworkers at the end of the season. Before that, however, he had been drafted into the National People's Army for 18 months in November 1961 . There he was given the opportunity to continue playing football in the first GDR league with the ASG Vorwärts Neubrandenburg army sports association . Until his release in October 1963, he played 14 of the 37 league games played during his military service and scored two goals.

From November 1963 on, Krzikalla played again for the GDR league club BSG Stahl, who had already taken over the changed city name in Eisenhüttenstadt in November 1961. In the remaining 24 league games he was used 18 times and this time he scored five goals. In the following two seasons he was part of the BSG Stahl player base with 46 appearances and seven goals in 60 point games. In the following only 18 of 30 games, Krzikalla had his most intense season in 1968/69 with 27 squads after six years, which ultimately led to promotion to the GDR top division.

As in the previous season, Krzikalla was nominated as a defender for the 1969/70 league season. As such, he also played the first five league games, but only made three more appearances in the first half of the season. In the second half of the season he played mainly with the 2nd team in the GDR league, while he was only used twice in the league. At the end of the season, the league team had not managed to stay in the league. As relegated, she would have had to play in the GDR league again in 1970/71, but since the BSG were accused of serious violations of the association's statutes, the previous league team was reset to the third-rate district league Frankfurt (Oder) .

With Krzikalla, Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt achieved immediate promotion to the GDR league as district champion in 1971. There, however, Krzikalla no longer played a role. Only in 1971/72 and 1975/76 he came to a GDR league assignment, after which he ended his career as a competitive athlete at the age of 35. Between 1961 and 1976 he had played ten league games and 178 games in the GDR league, in the latter he had scored 27 goals.
