Peter Möbius (Author)

Peter Möbius (born July 15, 1941 in Berlin ; † April 13, 2020 in Kamen ) was a German television and playwright, draftsman and set designer. As a lyricist, he has contributed the words for many of the songs by his youngest brother Ralph Möbius, alias Rio Reiser , for example for the rock opera Das Wasser des Lebens or Jetzt’s 13! .

Life

Peter Möbius lived in Unna and was co-founder of the legendary " Hoffmanns Comic Teater " (without 'h'), the first striking German "Free Theater Troupe" after the war, in Berlin , Frankfurt am Main in the late 1960s and 1970s , and later in Dortmund and in the late 1970s / early 1980s in Unna caused a sensation with their apprenticeship, improvisation and play-along theater. Members of the troupe included the filmmaker and puppeteer (and brother) Gert C. Möbius , later Claudia Roth and the cabaret artist Rainer Pause . In 1990 he worked as an author and co- director (with Uwe Penner) for the film Türmer's Dream .

Peter Möbius was Rio Reiser's estate administrator.

He was married to the costume designer Sibylle Möbius until his death. His daughter is the actress Cäcilie Möbius .
