Peter Müller (born October 11, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player .

career

The striker gained his first experience in 1972 in the second-class Regionalliga West at VfR Neuss , with whom he was relegated to the Niederrhein Association . After he had landed at the top of the top scorer lists year after year, Müller moved to the reigning Lower Rhine champions 1. FC Bocholt in 1976 . With the club he was runner-up in the association league in 1977 and rose in the following round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . For Bocholt, Müller played a total of 58 games in the second division in the 1977/78 and 1980/81 seasons and scored 12 goals. In the 1979/80 season he was with the club master of the Oberliga Nordrhein and took part in the German amateur championship . In August 1980 Peter Müller scored the “ Goal of the Month ” of the ARD Sportschau in the second division match against Rot-Weiß Lüdenscheid . For 1. FC Bocholt he played in the Oberliga Nordrhein until 1983 and then let his career end with local rivals SC 26 Bocholt .
