Peter Pera (born November 27, 1941 ) was a soccer player in the GDR . In the local top division league he played for the ASK Forward Berlin and 1. FC Union Berlin . With the ASK he was GDR champion in 1965.

At the age of six, Pera was already playing football for the sports community of the Vorharzdorf Rieder . In 1960 he signed up for service in the " National People's Army " of the GDR, where he was stationed with the Vorwärts Leipzig Army Sports Association . With the Leipzig army footballers he played in the third class II. GDR league and was the season winner in his first season in 1960. In the promotion games to the first GDR league , however, the army team could not prevail. Pera continued to play for six months at Vorwärts Leipzig and was then delegated to the top club of the Army Sports Association, the GDR champions ASK Vorwärts Berlin, in January 1962.

At ASK Pera was initially only used in the reserve team. With her he was GDR champion of the league reserves in 1963. It was not until the 1964/65 season that he was used in the league team. Pera played his first league game on November 15, 1964 in the 7th matchday between SC Leipzig and ASK. In the 2-1 win, he played in the left midfield instead of the unfit Hans-Georg Kiupel . He also represented Kiupel on the 8th and 9th matchday, after which Pera returned to the reserve. With his three league appearances, he had a small share in winning the GDR championship. In 1965 he was finally written off at ASK and delegated back to ASG Vorwärts Leipzig. There Pera played from 1965 to 1967 for two years in the second-rate GDR league .

In May 1967, Pera was dismissed from the army and thus retired from Vorwärts Leipzig. He moved to the league relegated BSG Wismut Gera , with whom he also played in the GDR league until the end of 1968. In January 1969 he accepted an offer from the GDR Cup winners 1. FC Union Berlin to play in the major league there. The Unioner had to replace the long-term injured Wolfgang Wruck and Pera was used for him in the defense. He immediately established himself as a left-back and played all thirteen games in the second half of the season. Because of the descent of the Unioners Pera had to play another year in the GDR league, but was one of the guarantees for the immediate resurgence with 21 appearances in 30 played point games. In the following three league seasons Pera was set in defense and played alternately Libero or full-back. 1973 Union rose again from the league. In 1973/74 Pera played his last season as a competitive athlete in the GDR league and helped with 15 point games and five promotion games again with promotion. After 139 competitive games, including 87 in the league with nine goals, Pera then took over the post of property manager and training the second team at 1. FC Union.

In 1975 Pera became a sports instructor and player trainer at the newly founded BSG KWO Berlin . With his team he rose in 1978 to the district league and 1979 in the GDR league.
