Peter Raggl

Peter Raggl (born December 1, 1968 in Schönwies in Tirol ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). Since March 2018 he has been a member of the Federal Council delegated by the Tyrolean state parliament .

Life

After primary school in Schönwies, Peter Raggl attended the Realgymnasium in Landeck , where he graduated in 1987 . He then began to study law at the University of Innsbruck , which he completed in 1992 with a master's degree. In 1995 he obtained his doctorate there with a dissertation on selected legal issues in the approval and operation of alternative energy generation plants in the form of own plants .

From 1994 to 1999 he was a legal advisor at the Tyrolean Farmers' Union , then managing director of the Imst regional chamber of agriculture . Since 2006 he has been director of the Tyrolean Farmers' Union.

Since 1998 he has been a member of the municipal council and council of Schönwies. After the state elections in Tyrol in 2018 , he has been a member of the Federal Council sent by the Tyrolean state parliament since March 28, 2018 , where he is responsible for the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the Committee on Transport, the Justice Committee and the Environment Committee and was a member of the Health Committee.
