Peter Rodek

Peter Rodek (born December 10, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After attending elementary school and a year of secondary school , Peter Rodek switched to the Realgymnasium , where he passed his Matura in 1964 . From 1965 he worked as a clerk in the tax office of Braunau am Inn in Upper Austria . In 1966, Rodek was elected district secretary of the farmers' union for the districts of Braunau am Inn , Schärding and Ried im Innkreis .

In 1992, Rodek was elected district chairman of the ÖVP in the Braunau am Inn district. In March 1995 he was sworn in as a member of the Federal Council in Vienna. Rodek was a member of the regional chamber until July 2000. He then moved into the Upper Austrian Landtag as a member of the ÖVP , where he held a mandate until 2003.

Today Peter Rodek lives in St. Peter am Hart , where he is head of the local group of the senior citizens' association .
