Peter Ruge (architect)

Peter Ruge (* 1959 in Düsseldorf ) is a German architect and university professor.

Life

Ruge studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig , where he received his diploma as an architect in 1988. He then conducted research at Kyoto University and worked in the Ueda Atelier und Genplan office in Kyoto, Japan, until 1992.

Since 1993 he has been practicing as a freelance architect in Berlin , until 2011 office partnership Pysall Ruge Architects with Justus Pysall, then office partnership Peter Ruge Architects with Kayoko Uchiyama and Matthias Matschewski. Since 2003, the focus has been on the planning and implementation of sustainable buildings and city designs in Europe and Asia. Since 1991 he has taught architecture and since 2010 sustainable design at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences at the Dessau Institute of Architecture (DIA), was visiting professor at the Zhejiang Sci-Tech University in Hangzhou and is now at the Shenyang Jianzhu University in China. He is a member of the Association of German Architects .
