Peter Sprenger

Peter Sprenger (born December 29, 1953 in Baden , Switzerland ; † October 23, 2018 in Fläsch , Switzerland) was a Liechtenstein lawyer , trustee and member of the state parliament.

biography

After Sprenger graduated from the Schwyz Cantonal School in 1975 , he studied law at the University of Zurich from 1976 to 1981 . From 1981 to 1991 he was a trainee at Ivo Beck's law firm . From 1983 to 1991 he also worked for the trust company Administral Anstalt. In 1985 he obtained his doctorate in law ( Dr. iur. ) From the University of Zurich and received his trustee license for the Principality of Liechtenstein in the same year. In 1989 he passed his bar exam for the Principality of Liechtenstein. In 1991 Sprenger became chairman of the administrative board of the trust company Administral Anstalt. Also in 1991 he founded his own law firm. From 1992 to 1993 he was chairman of the administrative complaints body. From 1995 to 1997 he was Vice President of the State Court .

In 1997 Sprenger was elected to the Landtag of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Fatherland Union . In 2001 he was re-elected. Among other things, he was a member of the Liechtenstein Bar Association and the Liechtenstein Association of Trustees. He was married and has two children.

Sprenger was the first Liechtensteiner to reach the summit of Mount Everest . He has climbed six of the Seven Summits . On October 23, he died after a fall while climbing the Hintergrauspitz .
