Peter Springer (born April 22, 1938 in Meißen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Peter Springer is a graduate economist. From 1986 to 1991 he was President of the Saarland Chamber of Labor .

Springer moved into the state parliament of Saarland via the constituency of Neunkirchen on July 14, 1975 . He was a member of the state parliament until he resigned his mandate on November 10, 1986, after he had been elected President of the Saarland Chamber of Labor. In 1991, Springer resigned from this office under pressure from Landtag President Albrecht Herold after he was involved in a business travel affair.

Springer was chairman of the Homburg city ​​association of the SPD and until May 2008 the chairman of the district association conference of the 60plus working group of the SPD in the Saarpfalz district .
