Peter Stein (cameraman)
Peter Michael Stein (born October 12, 1943 in New York City ) is an American cameraman .
Life
Peter Michael Stein was born in New York City as the son of the German photographer and expatriate Fred Stein . He received his bachelor's degree from City College of New York in 1965 . For the first time, Stein was responsible as a cameraman in 1977 with the biopic A Good Dissonance Like a Man . This was followed by movies like Friday the 13th - Jason returns , Pet Sematary and Armadillo Bears - A totally chaotic heap .
Peter Stein taught at SUNY Purchase and since 2002 also at the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at the Tisch School of the Arts .
Stein lives with his wife, screenwriter and film editor Dawn Freer, and their children in South Salem , New York .
